 PETALING
JAYA: Mesdaq-listed KZen Solutions Bhd has
teamed up with Cetheus MSC Sdn Bhd to enhance
its human resource software.
KZen chief executive
officer Ng Boon Sing said the tie-up was a
joint effort to extend the development of
a comprehensive range of solutions for measuring
and managing human capital to a wide range
of industries. KZen,
which went public last November, is one of
the leading human capital management solutions
providers and Cetheus specializes in developing
end-to-end business intelligence solutions
such as Balanced Scorecards, key performance
indicators and intelligent reporting applications
for companies like Telekom Malaysia Bhd, Bank
Pertanian Malaysia Bhd and DiGi Telecommunications
Bhd.
"The
sourcing of a partner in business intelligence
(BI) had been a priority for us in the
last few months," he said after the
signing of a memorandum of understanding
(MoU) yesterday. Multimedia Development
Corp Malaysia senior vice-president
Datuk Narayanan Kana witnessed the signing
ceremony. Ng
said the MoU would entail efforts aimed
at merging and integrating the "best
of breed" technologies and resources
from both companies.

"We expect the
first product of the integration to be rolled
out in the next three months," he said, adding
that both companies would gain from cross-selling
activities. Cetheus
chief executive officer Simon Kong said the
collaboration provided the company with opportunities
to introduce business performance management
products from the HR perspective and incorporating
fundamentals of business analytics and reporting.
He
said the alliance was an extension of a five-year
working relationship with KZen and the potential
of a formal joint effort became imminent recently
due to the increasing demand for end-to-end
HR solutions. The
MoU, which is aimed at building a long-term
business relationship, is also in line with
KZen's plan to venture abroad.
On the progress
of KZen's plan to penetrate regional markets,
including Indonesia and Thailand, Ng said
it recently met prospective partners in Indonesia.
It also expects to be in Thailand next week
to meet parties. KZen
is now developing a new Internet-based solution
that will expand its outreach to the lucrative
small-and-medium-scale enterprise sector.
